I found The Intimacy Experiment to be a very strong entry in the annals of “sexy ice queen melts for beta hero and beta hero only” romance. The dialogue is excellent when it’s funny, when it’s serious, and when it’s tender.
RECOMMENDED: How Not to Fall by Emily Foster is $1.99! We had two reviews of this book, one from me and one from a guest reviewers. We both really enjoyed it. Foster had plans for more romance novels in a the podcast episode we did with her, but I have a feeling those plots are on hiatus.
I would recommend this book, honestly. The smart characters and Annie’s earnestness as a heroine are so refreshing, despite the emotional shift in the narrative. I’m glad I read it and I’m going to scramble for the continuation because I want to know what Emily Foster will do with these characters.

RECOMMENDED: The Blades of the Rose bundle by Zoe Archer is $2.99 at select vendors! The bundle is four books with lots of adventuring in a historical setting and some steampunk elements. I really enjoyed this series, though I think Warrior might be my favorite. Any other fans of the series in the Bitchery?

Since the kink leans more towards BDSM-light, it is a pleasant, sexy alternative for those who were left feeling limp (tee hee) after reading 50 Shades, but who aren’t quite ready to read about hard core couples in the BDSM scene. Even if BDSM isn’t your cup of tea, I’d still recommend giving this book a shot. The humor, brilliant characters, and heart make How Not to Fall a compelling read that you will be tempted to read again, and again.
