The Baldwin Village Complete Series by Jackie Lau is $3.99! Thanks to everyone who let us know about this preorder deal. It comes out next week and I believe will stay $3.99 until the end of the month. After that, the price will be $7.99. Four bucks is not bad for 3 contemporaries and a novella.

RECOMMENDED: The Unleashing by Shelly Laurenston is $1.99! Yeah, you’re reading that right. If you were at RT a couple years ago, Sarah squeed about this so hard, so thanks to everyone who told us about this sale. And she did a little drive by squee during a review for the second book, The Undoing:
Feared Viking blacksmith (of sorts) in the Raven clan has a massive crush on a former Marine who is reborn as a Crow. (Bonus: Ravens giving him shit about his crush, and his ability to admit easily that he really likes her: ALL the thumbs, all of them up.)

RECOMMENDED: Fortune Favors the Wicked by Theresa Romain is $1.99! There’s a treasure hunt, a blind hero, and a former courtesan heroine. Talk about catnip! Redheadedgirl gave this an A grade in a Lightning Review.

Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton is $1.99! This was a Reese Witherspoon book club pick and I’m so happy Reese is showing some attention to romance and romance-adjacent titles. This book has dual timelines: 2017 Miami and 1958 Havana. Have you read this one?

Prince Charming by Rachel Hawkins is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and it’s being price-matched. This is the first book in the Royals series and it’s since undergone a cover redesign. Some UK readers felt a few of the details were wrong in terms of setting, while others say this one left them with a huge smile on their face.

An Untamed State by Roxane Gay is $1.99! This is a highly recommended piece of contemporary fiction. It’s harrowing and emotional as it chronicles a woman’s kidnapping, rescue, and recovery. This is Gay’s debut novel and there are definitely some trigger warnings for this book. For those who have read it, what did you think?

When a Duke Loves a Woman by Lorraine Heath is $1.99! This is the second book in the Sins for All Seasons series, though I believe it can be read on its own. Some readers found this one to be a charming and funny historical. However, others felt the plot was a bit farfetched. Have you read this one?

We’re back with Lightning Reviews! This time, we have two historical romances that received good to middling reviews. We also have a graphic novel with some fierce feminism that might appeal to fans of Lumberjanes. Enjoy!
This is book 5 (possibly the last?) in Quinn’s Worthington series. I reviewed the first one, Three Weeks to Wed, and I have to say, this was an improvement on a lot of the issues that Three Weeks (…since you looked at me, cocked your head to the side and said…. Sorry.) had. Geoffrey, the Earl of Harrington has a diplomatic post waiting for him on the eve of the battle of Waterloo, buuuuuut he … Continue reading You Never Forget Your First Earl by Ella Quinn →

Whiskey Sharp: Unraveled by Lauren Dane is 99c! I know Sarah enjoyed this one and is excited for the next book in the series. Here’s what she said about Unraveled, and she typed this while on a snow slope! She assured me that she stopped snowboarding first.
It’s low on relationship conflict and high on family conflict. I really liked the found family aspects. And the food.

Mercury Striking by Rebecca Zanetti is $1.99! This is a dystopian romance and the first in a new series. Readers loved the worldbuilding and thought the heroine had a nice blending of being confident yet vulnerable. However, some said they felt a little lost in all of the action. Be warned that there is some consent issues regarding spanking, as commented by Lia in a previous sale post.
