RECOMMENDED: The Widow of Rose House by Diana Biller is $2.99! Aarya loved this one and gave it an A-:
Try a sample of the first chapter; it hooked me instantly from the first paragraph and never let go. The Widow of Rose House is close to perfection and any lover of historical romance will adore this debut.

Not the Duke’s Darling by Elizabeth Hoyt is $1.99! We ran a guest review from Ellen before they became a regular reviewer. Ellen gave it a B-:
Overall, I think if you are sufficiently intrigued by the premise of a secret order of Wise Women, you’ll enjoy the book. And if you don’t typically crave a lot of angst and emotional torment in your romance you might enjoy it more than I did!

Someday My Duke Will Come by Christina Britton is $1.99 at select vendors! This the second book in the Isle of Synne series and we’ve featured the first book on sale previously. This historical romance features a fake engagement, which can be some major catnip.

The Duke of Midnight by Elizabeth Hoyt is $1.99! This is Maiden Lane book 6, and it has a 4.1-star average. This series in particular is a favorite here at the Pink Palace. I know both Elyse and I have really enjoyed these books. Though they can operate as standalones, I believe every three books or so starts a new major story arc. Correct me if I’m wrong!

RECOMMENDED: A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn is $2.99! The latest book out now and it’s a good time to start this series. This is a historical mystery and Sarah really enjoyed it. Here’s what she said:
I read A Curious Beginning with an I-cannot-put-this-down enthusiasm and devoured it very quickly. I relished both the characters and the mystery. The Veronica Speedwell series is excellent and intelligent fun, and while the second isn’t quite as satisfying as the first, I heartily recommend them both.

About a quarter of the way into When a Rogue Meets His Match, I realized the book was probably not going to be a particularly successful villain redemption or enemies-to-lovers romance. About three-quarters of the way in, I started to wonder what, exactly, the intended message of this book was, because it was verging in a startlingly uncomfortable way on emotional abuse apologia. Everything after that felt like too little, too late in terms of … Continue reading When a Rogue Meets his Match by Elizabeth Hoyt →

To Taste Temptation by Elizabeth Hoyt is 99c! This is book one in the Legend of the Four Soldiers series and was mentioned in a Rec League on Historical Romance House Parties. Readers warn that the beginning is a little slow, but if you’re looking to fully collect all of Hoyt’s romances, 99c is a good price!

RECOMMENDED: The Chai Factor by Farah Heron is $1.99! Aarya really loved this one and gave it an A-:
The Chai Factor is very much a swoonworthy rom-com: it’s funny and sobering, it has witty dialogue and disquieting situations, and it’s sigh-worthy and rage-inducing. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for Amira and Duncan. The Chai Factor is an essential book for your list of summer reads.
