Gilded Cage, which is the first book in the “Dark Gifts” series, is emphatically not a romance. Farewell, Downton Abbey

Here in the US, we are at the end of the final season of Downton Abbey. We’ve been with the Crawleys and their staff for deaths, births, war, taxes, parties, weddings, and 13 years of the Dowager Countess’s acerbic wit.
