I’m in an unusual position here. Usually, Cat Sebastian novels are endlessly charming and they have caused many a Bad Decisions Book Club over the years. This one didn’t quite hit that same high for me, but I did still enjoy it.
RECOMMENDED: Well Played by Jen DeLuca is $2.99! Carrie gave this a B+ in a Lightning Review:
This is a gentle and obvious Cyrano de Bergerac story with very little conflict.
Funny You Should Ask by Elissa Sussman is $2.99! This one has been recommended on several podcasts we’ve done with other romance authors. I remember this being shelved as fiction in some bookstores, so I’ve also been hesitant to pick it up as a romance. Any thoughts?
RECOMMENDED: To Catch An Earl by Kate Bateman is $1.99! This is the second book in the Bow Street Runners series and Elyse gave it an A:
To Catch an Earl is a fun, fast-paced read with lots of sexual tension and capers a-plenty. It’s been one of my favorite books so far this year and I highly recommend it.
The Viscount and the Vixen by Lorraine Heath is $1.99! This is book three in The Hellions of Havisham historical romance series. Any fans of the series in the Bitchery or does everything sort of blur together?
