Only When It’s Us by Chloe Liese is 99c! This is book one in the Bergman Brothers series and later books have been mentioned on the site. This is a new adult romance romance with some enemies to lovers. There’s a note that the book was revised and expanded last year.
Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev is $1.99! This is book two in Dev’s Austen retellings. Catherine read this and gave it a C. She liked a lot of the food elements and Ashna, especially. However, she warns this book packs in a lot of angst.
RECOMMENDED: The Witch of Willow Hall by Hester Fox is $1.99! Thank you to all the readers who let us know about this sale! Elyse read this one and gave it B+, but issued some content warnings:
I really enjoyed this book. I wish I could delve more deeply in the incredibly spooky, ghostly shenanigans that go down, but it’s really best experienced in the moment. The author does a fantastic job balancing a Gothic sense of dread with a burgeoning romance, weaving in awfulness with hope.
What a Gentleman Wants by Caroline Linden is $1.99! This is the first book in the Reece Family Trilogy. You can also nab the second book for 99c. There’s a fake relationship element to this historical romance and readers loved the stuffy hero. However, some readers felt the plot is a bit unbelievable. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.
North to You by Tif Marcelo is $1.99! This book came out Monday and I’m really excited about it. The heroine runs a food truck that’s in direct competition with the restaurant that belongs to the hero’s father. Marcelo is a debut author and the book, so far, has a lot of favorable reviews on Goodreads, averaging a 4.1 star rating.
D.E. Stevenson was a prolific and beloved writer who lived from 1892 – 1973, though her first book was published in 1923. She wrote character-centered books like the Mrs. Tim series – a series that I have read dozens of times in a state of hypnotized bliss despite the fact that nothing much happens in it.
