Shades of Treason by Sandy Williams is $2.99! This is a scifi romance where the heroine and her former mentor experience pants feelings. Readers loved the amount of action in the book, but felt the ending was unresolved and seemed like a cliffhanger. The follow up book is $4.99, if you’re determined to continue.
An Affair with Mr. Kennedy by Jillian Stone is 99c! And no, it’s not that Mr. Kennedy. This is a historical romance with some opposites attract elements. Readers say the mystery element is rather predictable, but others found this to be a great debut to a new series.

The novel is set in Glasgow in 1880, and it manages to present the possibility of a mill being run fairly without glamorizing what was grueling work under even ideal conditions. Starlight by Carrie Lofty is $1.99! And gosh, do I love this cover. This is the second book in the Christies historical romance series. The hero is an astronomer and the heroine has to play tour guide and show him around Scotland. A couple reviews on Goodreads recommend this for fans of North & South. (I personally prefer the BBC series over the book, which features a young Richard Armitage and is a series I highly recommend.) However, some felt the romance was a little rushed. Has anyone read this one?
The Husband Test by Bettina Krahn is .99 right now. This is a medieval historical first published in 2001, and it has a 3.8-star average on GoodReads. This is a favorite among medieval romance fans, many of whom say they re-read this book frequently. Some caution that the heroine can take some getting used to, but that the hero and heroine are what make the book special.
