Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich is $1.99! Sarah haaaated this book. HATED IT. But I know there are people out there who loves things we hate or maybe just want to have a very full glass of wine and do a little hate reading on a weeknight. Here’s a little excerpt from Sarah’s review:
Every time I think about this book it makes me so angry. SO ANGRY. I hated the hero so much, I considered wearing my night guard while I wrote this so I wouldn’t get a headache from clenching my teeth so hard.
You know what? Screw it. It’s mouth guard time. This is a teeth-clenchingly bad hero, and I hated him with the burning fiery hatred of a thousand suns filled with hate and Fox News which are kind of the same thing. So, mouthguard in, it’s time to try to review this book without devolving into a twitchy mass of anger and outrage. It’s not even fun hate reading, this book. It’s rage reading. The more I read, the more I hated the hero with all the hate.

RECOMMENDED: Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli is $3.99! This is a highly recommended epistolary young adult book, with a “not-so-openly-gay” teenage boy as the central protagonist. It’s fun, funny, and totally adorable. However, some people felt that it was a little too boring for the hype around it. The book also has a 4.2-star rating on Goodreads.

RECOMMENDED: The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan is currently $3.99 at Amazon! We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any price-matching. Elyse and Redheadedgirl did a joint review of this book and they gave it an A:
RHG: So I’m giving this an A, because it was delightful and I adore the Fug Girls’ version of Harry and Kate and Wills that they’ve created in their heads (“He’s basically Great Britain’s answer to a red squirrel anyway”) and I like how they used that in writing this book. It also passed the “Did I stay up until 3 am to finish this? YES I DID” test. How about you?
Elyse: Totally an A. It wasn’t as heavy in the romance as I wanted but made up for it by being addictive. I too pulled the 3 a.m. read. Plus it’s really funny and heartfelt.

Anything but Sweet by Candis Terry is $1.99! This contemporary romance features a cowboy hero and a city slicker heroine, plus a plot that revolves around a makeover reality TV show taking place in a small town. A few readers found the stubborn cowboy a little too stubborn for their liking, though many lovers of small town romances enjoyed the blend of setting and sweet romance. It’s the first in the Sweet, Texas series and it has a 3.9-star rating on GR. If you’re in the mood to stock up, book two – Sweetest Mistake ( A | K | AB | Au ) – and book three – Something Sweeter ( A | K | AB | Au ) – are also on sale for $1.99!
