Deadline by Stephanie Ahn is $3.99! Now, this might be full price but I wanted to include it because it sounds fucking amazing. This is an urban fantasy with a Korean-American lesbian witch protagonist. Hi, yes, hello! I also love the cover. The description warns of some BDSM elements, which some reviewers thought was a bit of an unwelcome surprise.
An Untamed State by Roxane Gay is $1.99! This is a highly recommended piece of contemporary fiction. It’s harrowing and emotional as it chronicles a woman’s kidnapping, rescue, and recovery. This is Gay’s debut novel and there are definitely some trigger warnings for this book. For those who have read it, what did you think?
RECOMMENDED: The Unyielding by Shelly Laurenston is 99c! This is the third book in the Call of Crows series, which Sarah absolutely loves. The first book is on sale as well for $1.99!
This series, and each book within it, makes me feel better whenever I’m stressed or feeling powerless and overwhelmed. It acknowledges the rage inherent in feeling powerless, and transforms that rage into useful, powerful action. It’s the best kind of catharsis. The Unyielding may not be my favorite of the series, but I still recommend the Crows books loudly to everyone who will listen to me.
Tapped by Liz Crowe is 99c! Man, this book is all of my catnip. This is an erotic contemporary romance with some menage elements. There’s also no cliffhanger as the third in the relationship is the hero of the next book. It definitely is high on the explicit sex scale, but some readers warn of insta-love.
Filthy and Rich is $2.99! This is a boxed set five novellas featuring menage romances and billionaires. One of the stories also has a female construction worker! This set just came out (as in today), so there aren’t any reviews to pull opinions from. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty interested in this set. It seems like it’d be a quick and steamy read.
