Bellewether by Susanna Kearsley is $1.99! We did a Cover Reveal for this one, since it was such an interesting departure from Kearsley’s usual covers. Some readers felt this one was slow to start, while others loved Kearlsey’s beautiful writing. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads
The Chai Factor is very much a swoonworthy rom-com: it’s funny and sobering, it has witty dialogue and disquieting situations, and it’s sigh-worthy and rage-inducing. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for Amira and Duncan. The Chai Factor is an essential book for your list of summer reads.
Deadly Strain by Julie Rowe is $1.99! This book was recommended on two podcasts: one with Sassy Outwater and one with Reader Meka. It’s romantic suspense with a bioterrorism angle and while readers loved the non-stop action, some wished there was more focus on the romance. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
Minimum Wage Magic by Rachel Aaron is 99c at Amazon! It looks like this deal is good for the next two days. Sarah is a big fan of Aaron’s urban fantasy books and mentioned this on a previous Hide Your Wallet. Have you read this one?
Heart2Heart Anthology, Volume 3 is available to preorder for $4.99 at Amazon! This is a charity anthology featuring sixteen gay romance stories from authors like Damon Suede, Layla Reyne, Lucy Lennox, and more. The anthology will be released on October 1.
Wrong Bed, Right Roommate by Rebecca Brooks is 99c! Elyse mentioned this one in January 2019’s Hide Your Wallet, and I appreciate the hero cover model’s chest hair. Readers found this to be a cute, sexy romance, but there were some reviews that mention being divided on the hero.
Her perspective as a parent, an actress, an activist and artist, and as a person was a treat and a privilege to read. Half my friends are probably tired of hearing about this book in every text and message, but it’s worth passing along. This was a thoughtful and honest memoir, and I very much recommend it – especially for the Prince stories.
The Spymaster’s Lady by Joanna Bourne is $2.99! This book has been recommended in five (FIVE!) podcast episodes, and is often attributed to being readers’ first foray into romance. Have you read it? What’d you think?
Wonder Women by Sam Maggs is $1.99! I was really taken by the adorable cover when I first saw it, and awesome women in history is definitely on brand for SBTB. There are over sixty women discussed in this book and many readers noted that they only heard of a small portion. The book does feature some illustrations, though, and I’m not sure how they’d translate digitally.
RECOMMENDED: Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai is $1.99! Big thank you to everyone who let us know about this sale. This angsty contemporary romance has been recommended on several podcast episodes and received an A grade from Redheadedgirl:
This is the book that I was most excited to get at RT. When people saw that it was out in the wild, the most inhuman noises were made, and it was worth all of those noises.
ALL OF THEM.
So much angst. So much pathos. EVERYTHING HAPPENS SO MUCH.
Off Base by Annabeth Albert is 99c! This is a contemporary m/m romance with forced proximity, as the two heroes seem to be roommates. One of them is also a virgin if that’s your catnip. Many readers found this to be a pretty satisfying read. However, some felt they wanted more depth and connection with the characters.
