The best romances, to my mind, are those in which two people help each other to become better and happier versions of themselves, and (Trust) Falling For You has this in spades. Really, my only complaint is that I wanted more of it – more story, more opportunities to see the characters together, more of everything. Which is a pretty nice complaint to have.
The Beautiful Ashes by Jeaniene Frost is $1.99! This is the first book in her Broken Destiny series, which is a New Adult paranormal romance/urban fantasy. I like the new cover design, despite the model looking like he’s mid Thanos snap.
The first book in the Debutante Diaries series felt underwhelming and, at times, aggravating. RECOMMENDED: Dating You/Hating You by Christina Lauren is $2.99! Lauren’s books rarely go on sale, so grab this one while you can. I loved this book and gave it an A-:
If you want the book-form of a great, contemporary rom-com, Dating You/Hating You will scratch that itch. No, not just scratch it. Massage it. A full body, deep-tissue Swedish massage that will leave your bones feeling like jelly, where all you can do is close your eyes and let out a deep, satisfying sigh.
RECOMMENDED: The Other Daughter by Lauren Willig is $1.99! This is historical fiction with romantic elements and Redheadedgirl gave it an A:
I like Willig’s writing a lot. It’s not complex; it’s kind of like the hot chocolate of prose. It’s smooth, and it’s classic. That may sound kind of like damning with faint praise, which I’m really not trying to do. There are times when what I want is smooth prose without a lot of flourishes, and Willig always delivers.
