When a Rogue Meets His Match by Elizabeth Hoyt is $2.99! I believe this is also a Kindle Daily Deal. This is book two in the Greycourt series. Ellen reviewed the first one to meh reviews and this one earned an F. Apparently the hero never sufficiently apologizes for his treatment of the heroine. However, I know Hoyt is an autobuy author for some if you’ve been waiting for this one to go on sale.
Anchored Hearts by Priscilla Oliveras is $1.99! This is book two in the Keys to Love series and has a second chance romance. This isn’t my favorite trope, but I enjoyed this book. If you like really emotional contemporaries, this will tick that box.
RECOMMENDED: The Lord I Left by Scarlett Peckham is 99c! Thanks for everyone who let us know about this sale. I believe it’s best to read this series in order, rather than as standalones. Claudia gave this one a B+:
There was a lot to like and enjoy: plenty of funny and tender moments, thoughtful discussions, and some of my favorite setups in romance, including an “one room at the inn” scenario.
London’s Best Kept Secret by Anabelle Bryant is $1.99! This historical romance is the second book in the Midnight Secrets series and can we get a ruling on whether that’s a mullet on the cover? The hero and heroine are already married in this one, but some readers couldn’t get past the hero’s scheming.
Duke of Darkness by Anabelle Bryant is 99c This is the second book in the Three Regency Rogues series and the first and third books are also on sale! This is a romance between a man and his ward, which I know is catnip for some of you. However, some readers felt the book lacked a tremendous amount of historical accuracy.
The Widow by Fiona Barton is $1.99! This is a thriller that Elyse really enjoyed! It earned an A grade as a Lightning Review:
I don’t want to say much more about this book because it will ruin it–that’s why I opted for a lightning review even though I could talk about the The Widow for hours. I want every reader to experience the delicious twists and turns this thriller offers.
Brave New Earl by Jane Ashford is $2.51! This price is only at Amazon, so this deal could be expiring soon. Some readers enjoyed the exploration of grief, especially when it came to the hero’s loss. However, others felt the plot and romance were too messy in execution.
London’s Secret Affair by Anabelle Bryant is 99c! This is the first book in the Midnight Secrets series. It features an off-limits romance and yes, a duke. Readers seem torn on the heroine. Some love her forward-thinking nature, while others wished she were a bit more responsible.
RECOMMENDED: The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch is $1.99! This is a gritty fantasy with an anti-hero protagonist. I loved this book and it’s a lot of fun. I also believe it was recommended by Sarah’s husband on a previous podcast episode. It’s a lot of fun, but definitely is heavy on violence and some gross stuff.
RECOMMENDED: A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn is $2.99! This is a historical mystery and Sarah really enjoyed it. She also immediately read the second one after finishing the first. Here’s what she said:
I read A Curious Beginning with an I-cannot-put-this-down enthusiasm and devoured it very quickly. I relished both the characters and the mystery. The Veronica Speedwell series is excellent and intelligent fun, and while the second isn’t quite as satisfying as the first, I heartily recommend them both.
