RECOMMENDED: Last Night with the Earl by Kelly Bowen is $1.99! This is the second book in the Devils of Dover series, but can be read out of order (I did). The other books are also on sale. I hope Bowen comes back to historical romance. I so loved this book and gave it an A-.
For readers who love slow burn historicals that have a focus on emotional healing, I can’t push this into your hands or onto your e-readers fast enough.
One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London is $1.99! This has been mentioned a couple times on the site in things like Hide Your Wallet and podcast episodes. I feel like I’ve heard mixed things about this one, but do take note that the heroine’s weight seems to play a big factor in the narrative.
RECOMMENDED: To Have and to Hoax by Martha Waters is $1.99! Aarya read this one and gave it a B:
Despite all these points, I adored To Have and to Hoax. It made me giggle constantly during a week when I had little to smile about. I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone; if the antics sound juvenile and infuriating, then you won’t like the story. But if you’re in the mood to escape into a Regency romp and swoon over a married couple falling in love again, I recommend To Have and to Hoax as your escape of choice.
