The Change by Kirsten Miller is $1.99! This may be a leftover Kindle Daily Deal from yesterday, so could expire soon. Carrie gave this one a C+:
The Change is a flawed novel, but by golly it sure cheered me up at times. This book is about three women in their late forties who develop magical powers and use them to avenge murdered young women.

RECOMMENDED: My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and Amazon just dropped their movie adaptation on Prime Video. Carrie reviewed this and gave it a B+:
This particular horror story is a love letter to the 1980s and to the power of friendship between women. The ending is very awesome. But also very gross, so be prepared.

Book Boyfriend by Kris Ripper is $2.99! This is a bookish, gay contemporary romance. Ripper’s books have been routinely recommending in the comments and by Tara. However, this one isn’t rated as highly as some of Ripper’s others on Goodreads.

The After Party by A.C. Arthur is $3.99! This was just mentioned in part one of November’s Hide Your Wallet and Sarah noted its 9 to 5 vibes. This might be it’s regular price, but it’s still not bad if you’re curious about it.

The second HYW will cover books released from the 15th to the end of the month. We also think this … Continue reading June’s New Releases, Part One →

Or find a new-to-us author on a list … Continue reading Book Beat: Novellas, Witches, & More →
I know last Hide Your Wallet we instituted some changes. Well now we have more, thanks to the comment left by Katie C. A lot of you expressed wanting to keep the wide breadth of new releases and Katie’s suggestion was pretty great. We’re still keeping our book maximums (five per person), but have added an extra HYW post per month, allowing another five books per person. The first HYW of the month will cover … Continue reading January’s New Releases, Part One →
We have a whole new batch of new releases to discuss. And by “batch,” I mean over forty! We also have two books with the same title released this month, which I thought was kind of neat. I think we’ve name-checked all the big releases; I couldn’t think of anything we left off. If we did, please chime in below. What November books are on your to-read list?
