My favorite purchase this year would be the starfish shaped ceramic dish I painted at one of those paint & sip places when I visited my sister and niece this summer in Florida. Because, as the niece said “It’s a tradition when you come.” (Third year running!)
My new kitchen. I did a big kitchen remodel this year and upgraded from metal cabinet drawers and plywood upper cabinets. It turned out great and I love it.
My favorite purchase is a book that I found because of your emails! The Daughter of the Forest introduced me to Juliet Marillier and I have thoroughly enjoyed glomming the series. I love shoes and bags and clothes, not so much cooking; but these books and the audio have gotten me thru the drive to work, carpool, and sleepless nights with a congested baby.
My favourite purchase this year was extravagant, very extravagnt, a sapphire blue v-neck cashmere jumper from Poetry. It is such a gorgeous colour, so soft and has lovely detailing, I have been wearing it pretty much constantly since I got it and have it on as I type.
@Laph:
What was the charger for, and where did you get it? I’m not actively looking for one of these, but I’m sure I may need one in the future.
My favorite purchase this year was tickets for the family to watch our favorite hockey team play live in person!
Probably my OTT light. My husband and I build massive Lego together and it’s a lifesaver when stitching.
@Llaph:
Apologies for getting your name wrong first time around.
My favourite purchase for myself this year was probably my new phone, a Samsung Galaxy S8. My favourite purchase as a gift was Red Dead Redemption 2, which I gave to my husband as a birthday present. He’s had countless hours of joy from it.
The signed copy of my all-time favorite novel I found for $3 at a used bookstore! I’m still in shock.
My favorite purchase this year was a subscription to a box that delivers supplies for planners and journalists. I use a traveler’s notebook and love getting the box and figuring out how I want to use the papers, tapes, etc.
a pencil case for all my awesome pens! I travel a lot so this was helpful!
My favorite thing this year was an automatic can opener. So much easier!
I bought myself some really cute knee high lace up boots about a month ago (for the 3 days of winter we get down here in South Florida ).
My favorite purchase was my new Kindle!
My favorite thing I bought this year is My Google Home Mini
my favorite purchase this year was a lap desk. yay writing in bed!
My favorite purchase this year was a Serta 3-inch back supporting mattress topper. Having a cheapish box-spring and mattress, the topper makes my bed feel luxurious!
My favorite purchase this year is my tiny mini fridge. I bought it to store my skincare products and sheet masks and keep them cold. I am enjoying it immensely.
The favourite thing I bought this year were my new glasses!
After 2 years of the same metallic frames I decided it was time for a change and now have some super funky plastic frames that have deep jewel tones and bling!
Thank you SmartBitches for the giveaway and to help me remember all of the good things that happened this year.
My favorite purchase was splurging on an Apple Watch. It has really kept me motivated in achieving and maintaining my health and fitness goals — and it’s FUN!
I *wish* I loved my Instant Pot as much as everyone else seems to. I did buy a travel hair dryer from Sephora that is actually better than my much pricier full sized hair dryer. It revolutionized my after-gym shower experience and makes me feel more put together. I even find myself grabbing it from my gym bag to use at home.
A new bathroom vanity!
My Addi Sockwonders (25cm circular needles) make me happy. I can knit stranded colorwork socks and mittens without having to fuss with double pointed needles or long cords for magic loop.
My favorite purchase, if it can be called that, was a bucket list vacation. Made all the better because I got to share it with members of my family.
Revlon Nail Enamel in Magnetic. The purple-blue glitter makes me soooo happy & with a perfect storm of CVS coupons I nearly got it for free!
My new car! It’s electric, it’s comfortable, it travels well, and, unlike my old clunker, it does NOT constantly break down. So relieved to be able to travel in the ice, etc, without fear.
No favorite purchase yet (I moved, so I wound up buying quite a few things) — but I’m waiting on delivery of a much-anticipated new pouffe which may answer the question!
First of all–ooh, pretty purse!
My favorite purchase of the year was my return trip to New York last month. I’d had a miserable four-day trip in September (rained every day, issues with the person I went there with, etc.), so I decided I was going to go back on my own and do the things I’d wanted to do that I hadn’t because of the aforementioned person I went there with. I had a wonderful time. New York has not been spoiled for me!!
My best purchase this year was a membership to the Phoenix Art Museum! I love that I can go anytime I want to look at art for as little or as much time as I want. Plus, I did the majority of my holiday shopping in the gift shop, which made me feel like a very fancy adult!
I bought myself the new Kindle Paperwhite – even though my old Kindle still worked!!! ALso I have a lovely new fleece jacket that I am wearing around the clock. Brrr.
My favorite purchase was more of an experience- we splurged on the Chef’s Playground menu at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans to kick off our vacation. It remains my favorite memory of the whole trip.
So I don’t know if it qualifies as a purchase, but back in June my husband and I adopted a cat. He’s formerly feral with a wonky eye where he broke an orbital socket before the shelter took him in; his name is Scarface and it’s hilarious watching him adapt to having people and a home.
Wow, this is difficult! I think that my favorite purchase is a black buttonless cardigan from an outlet- practical, basic thing I have been looking for for ages, at an amazing sale price.
France Luxe headbands are my favorite thing! I always feel sharp and get compliments on them!
My favorite purchase this year was a ball of quiviut yarn from the museum in Anchorage.
My Tom Bihn pop tote! I’ve used it as a travel bag, as a purse and as a tote. I love it!
My Accuquilt fabric cutter! Thanks for the giveaway!
Ahaha. I actually bought a brand new menorah (instead of a needed new handbag) at Marshall’s Home Goods recently. I love it so much. It’s a little smaller than my generic target one, but it’s BEAUTIFUL. The menorah is blue and gold enameled and has a star of david in the center with some pretty almost floral scrollwork surrounding it. By far one of the best (non-book) purchases I made this year! We can’t count books, or I’d never be able to pick just one, 😉
Best big thing I bought this year: tickets to fly to see my brother’s graduation, after several years of flight anxiety.
Best small thing: a whole bunch of glasses cleaning cloths so I have one near me at all times. My glasses are 90% less smudgy at all times!
Thank you for the giveaway. That bag is a stunner.
