We have several days of Hanukkah-palooza giveaways left!

Jeans from France. How could I resist? When you find the ones that fit your body, you have to buy them.
I bought a bike! And re-learned how to ride one, and now we do pretty much all our weekend errands by bike and it is fabulous.
I have to say my house. It’s been expensive and a huge test of mine and my partner’s relationship but it’s still my favorite.
Tie between my new boots which are stylish, comfortable and have a slight military vibe that I love or my Star Wars’ Finn jacket, perfect middle weight jacket with great pockets.
Oooh, I go back and forth between Muji all-wool room socks (which are thick and warm and even better once you run them through the wash so they felt) and a long cashmere duster I found at my local Goodwill boutique (it may be a bathrobe but I just don’t care!).
I got some really great boots that I love this year.
I went to Venice and bought the most delightful Victorian-inspired shoes imaginable. Yes they were expensive but so. worth.it.
My favorite purchase this year is plane tickets — we took advantage of a crazy airfare sale and took a family vacation to France and made so many great memories.
My husband and I splurged on new bedroom furniture and an Elfa system for our closet. It has made staying organized so much easier, and I don’t feel like a ragamuffin when I have to wear wrinkled clothes and mismatched socks to work. I feel like such an adult!
A trip to Spain & Greece. Partially for a family reunion, partially for pleasure – all worth it!!
quality article, i could watch this again and again:)
Uh… I’m obsessed with this bag. Gorgeous!!
My favorite purchase this year has been all the additions to my Penguin Clothbound Classics collection. They are just beautiful books that are a treat to have on my shelf
I think my favorite purchase this year is the down alternative mattress topper I treated myself to back in summer. I wanted my bed to feel more like a really nice hotel bed – since I always sleep so well when traveling – and it does help in that regard. Also, my cats love the extra fluff so much that I have to wrestle them off when it’s my own bedtime.
Tickets to see David Sedaris.
Smart Bulbs for our outside lights that we have programmed to turn on just before dusk and off just after sunset. Lovely!
A cashmere hoodie.
My favourite purchase this year was a new Kindle. Saved my reading life.
New dog beds for our dogs–they love them so much, and I discovered the joy & cleaning ease of removable covers.
SBTB Ladies, Thanks for the chance to win that adorable bag. Also Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate it, and Winter Solstice/Yule, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa to everyone else!
My favorite purchase this year, well there are 3 although 2 haven’t yet been made and the third won’t be delivered until 12/12. I’m in the process of buying new bedroom furniture & a LaZBoy swivel-rocker-recliner. My new Saatva bed with ADJUSTABLE base comes 12/12. Finally, an upside to the horrible events this summer…
A pair of black Doc Marten boots with a floral design. I’ve wanted them forever and now they are MINE.
My first set of dice for D&D. I started playing with two of my friends and my brother and it’s been so much fun and a great new adventure for me. 🙂
My favorite purchase this year has been my Plum Paper teacher planner/ calendar. I have 200 students, 7 classes, and no planning time, so it’s been such a life-saver for keeping track of the craziness that is work.
My favorite purchase is definitely a pair of pumps! I have tiny feet (size 4) and finding affordable heels that fit AND are cute is nearly impossible.
Spanish classes! Kind of expensive (for my budget) but I’ve made new friends, and it forces me to get over my horrible embarrassment when I’m not “perfect” (since no one speaks a new language perfectly).
It wasn’t an item I bought, but a gift given to me for my birthday. I love my echo dot. Who knew it would be so useful?
I bought my first professional tote bag for a research trip. It was the first time I’ve ever spent more than $20 on a bag that wasn’t a backpack. I feel like such a BAMF when I carry it. I’ve taken it to the British Library, conferences, and interviews. I don’t know why it works but I always feel more confident when I carry it.
I bought a new-to-me Volvo XC station wagon this year. She is the perfect vehicle for me with plenty of room for plant sale and farmers market hauls. Definitely my favorite purchase of the year as my next gravel road adventure is to see holiday lights at a nearby state park.
Happy Hanukkah!
I purchased blank postcards with pictures of Vote buttons. To start with, I wrote the address & website of the local Voter Registration office. I hand them out to people I meet.
I bought a Con-Air garment steamer and I kinda love it. Or the Mixing bowl set. Yay for practicality.
My favorite purchase was an online textbook that I got for $20.00 this week, instead of the original price of $149. 00 ( Criminal Justice: A Brief Introduction by Frank Schmallagher).
A kickboxing workout DVD I found at Dollar Tree. It motivates me to get into shape.
I’m gonna go with our new comfy purple couch. 🙂
All the gadgets and gel food coloring needed to make my nieces a fancy birthday cake. I hadn’t done an elaborate cake for years and it was really fun!
Not sure it counts as a “purchase” but I did put money down, on my first tattoo! Finally figured out what I wanted, the tattoo artist I liked, and then she had a waitlist of 8 months! Only 4 more months to go!
My favorite purchase this year was probably my phone case that is also a wallet that looks like a book.
I finally got bluetooth headphones and I don’t know why I waited so long!
my fav purchase? two nook glow 3 readers. one for me because I need more memory for books. one for mom who needs the page turn buttons ’cause touch screen doesn’t work for her.
My favorite purchase this year was a Stamps.com membership, which allows me to weigh, meter, and send packages from home. I mail a *lot* of books and this has saved me so many trips to the post office.
Happy Hanukkah!
I got an A4 notebook cover for my purse with bungles for pens and a phone and a built-in portable charger!!
Happy Hanukkah to all.
Argh. Bungees for pens… autocorrect strikes again.
