This romance just hit too many of my favourite buttons for me to be objective. For me, the highest praise I can give a romance novel is that it is original, and this book is that in every possible sense. Do not hesitate over that one-click button; I can guarantee reading satisfaction. Oh, to read this book again for the first time. I swoon!
Valley Verified by Kyla Zhao is $1.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! We featured this one on Cover Awe awhile back. I believe this one skews more toward Women’s Fiction and features a main character taking her skills to a new industry.
The Blighted Stars is the first book in a series, so we don’t get a ton of resolution in this novel, romantic or otherwise. If you’re looking for a complete romantic arc, don’t start this book.
If I Loved You Less by Aamna Qureshi is 99c! This is a contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma. I thought we had talked about this one because the cover was familiar to me, but no dice.
How You Get the Girl by Anita Kelly is $2.99! This is book three in the Nashville Love series and it was released last year! Many readers of the Bitchery have enjoyed Kelly’s queer contemporaries.

Readers who enjoy seeing characters embark on literal and figurative road trips will like this book. As long as they are patient with a few detours, the journey and the destination are worth it.
RECOMMENDED: Blood on the Tide by Katee Robert is $1.99! This is book two in the Crimson Sails series and Lara gave it a B+:
When I review books, I stop intermittently to jot down notes. With Katee Robert books, I get so immersed so quickly that I forget to take notes. The story sucks me in comprehensively and this book is no exception to that rule. If you’re interested in this series, definitely start with book one as the two are closely linked. I can heartily recommend both.
Mortal Follies by Alexis Hall is $1.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and is the first book in a series of the same name. We mentioned this on on Cover Awe, as well.
The Lady Tempts an Heir by Harper St. George is $1.99! This is book three in the Gilded Age Heiresses series. I’m a big fan of these books and once I unpack my books, I plan on doing a reread. Are you also a fan?
