Knockout by Sarah MacLean is $1.99! Not sure if this is a leftover KDD. This is the third book in the Hell’s Belles series. For those who read the series, what did you think about this one and the series as a whole?
Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater is $2.99! This is book two in the Regency Faerie Tales series. It was recently recommended in our Feminist Fantasy Rec League.
RECOMMENDED: Blood on the Tide by Katee Robert is $1.99 and a KDD! This is book two in the Crimson Sails series and Lara gave it a B+:
When I review books, I stop intermittently to jot down notes. With Katee Robert books, I get so immersed so quickly that I forget to take notes. The story sucks me in comprehensively and this book is no exception to that rule. If you’re interested in this series, definitely start with book one as the two are closely linked. I can heartily recommend both.
Unromance by Erin Connor is $3.99! This is a recent release, coming out in January. I believe this is in the queue for Cover Awe and it was mentioned on Hide Your Wallet.
Romancing Mister Bridgerton by Julia Quinn is $1.99! This is book four in the Bridgertons series, which is much loved around the Bitchery. Some readers advise reading the series in order for a richer experience, while others say you could jump into this as a standalone. What did you think of the Netflix adaption of this one? Is it the best one so far?
Remember Me by May Balogh is $1.99! This is book two in the Ravenswood series and it came out summer 2023. I don’t remember hearing much about this one, but I know Balogh is an auto-buy author.
RECOMMENDED: The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman is $2.99! This mystery was one of Sarah’s favorite reads of 2023. There’s also a Netflix adaption due out this year and I’ve very curious!
RECOMMENDED: Marry Me By Midnight by Felicia Grossman is $1.99! It’s a KDD and was featured both in our Best Reviews of 2023 and our Bestsellers of 2023. Lara read this and gave it an A:
If you need a truly immersive story that will keep you rapt from the word go, then this is the book for you. I loved this story, and I cannot wait for news of book two.
We think readers who like their romances rooted in real history, who also appreciate hopeful historical stories that acknowledge the discrimination characters had to face, might like this. The pacing and the other issues we mentioned made this fall a bit short.
A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting by Sophie Irwin is $1.99! This one was mentioned in a previous Hide Your Wallet, though we don’t have a formal review. Did any of you read it? What did you think?
