493. Sweet Dreams Romance Recap: Green Eyes by Suzanne Rand

Time to deep dive into another classic YA Romance: Sweet Dreams #7, Green Eyes by Suzanne Rand. Julie has a problem with the green-eyed monster, and it lasts for a lot of pages. We’ve got:

  • Insecure teenagers
  • Swim team!
  • Yet Another Teen Hangout with a Fun Name
  • Just Talk to Each Other for Goodness’ Sake

Join me as I struggle. Seriously, it’ll be fun.

NB: I misread “Chip” as “Chuck” but they’re the same person. (**headdesk**)

  1. Kerry says:

This gives me a great deal of joy. Can I ask for a Sunfire book next? Maybe “Rachel?”

  2. SB Sarah says:

Funny you should say that! I’m doing the first 20 Sweet Dreams (7 down, 13 to go!) but after that I was thinking I might do some of the Sunfires. They’re harder to find but hoo boy, did I love them when I was younger!

  3. Sue says:

*waugh* My podcatcher says the podcast feed is broken. Insert sad panda face here.

  4. SB Sarah says:

Egads! Which one are you using? I’m testing it in a few places and it seems to be working but I would like to help!

  5. Sue says:

I use an oddball one called AntennaPod. I will also try loading it when I’m not on my home network. The better half has stuff locked down in weird ways that sometimes change without notice. I hope that’s it, ’cause I can always use an excuse to go to the library.

  6. Jill Q. says:

@SB Sarah, I gobbled up Sunfires and I wish I had kept my original stash but I found ELIZABETH, JESSICA, AMANDA, SUSANNAH, and JOANNA in a little free library a few years ago and snatched them up. I’m actually afraid to read them b/c I don’t think I read them originally as a kid and I’m worried they’d fall flat as an adult.
But I’m happy to donate them to the cause!
I remember loving NICOLE (the Titanic pre Kate and Leo!) DARCY (Galveston Hurricane) and MEGAN (Alaska!)

  7. Kate says:

The episode hasn’t appeared on Stitcher and took awhile on Google Podcasts. Stitcher has been behaving badly since their latest redesign, though.

  8. SB Sarah says:

Yeah our feed was being persnickety. We’re working on it – sorry about that!!

  9. Sue says:

It seems to have sorted itself out at some point yesterday, as I was able to download it to listen to when I walked this morning. But what a yikes of a book! Jealousy is not my fave either!
