Never Too Hot by Bella Andre is $1.99! This is the third book in the Hot Shots: Men of Fire and the first book is also on sale. Readers say that it’s a great emotional romance with some forced proximity. However, others mentioned they had a tough time connecting with the characters.
Beauty Like the Night is the first book by Joanna Bourne that I’ve read, but it definitely won’t be the last. (Somewhere, in Scotland, Redheadedgirl just sat up and went “what?” and isn’t sure why). Overall, I think this book contains a fabulous world with a terrific, galloping adventure through a vivid and wrenching underworld. While I was reading it, I had a hard time putting it down. But the story has most of its strength in the plot and the world-building than in the characters and their emotional development and consistency, and I missed those aspects even while I enjoyed the rest.
