Welcome back to Wednesday Links! Time for a little check-in. How are we doing? I’m certainly spending more time with my partner. We had a lovely afternoon of gaming last weekend. We took turns doing runs of Slay the Spire; whoever wasn’t playing would be working on their laptop or reading. I’m eying the new Split Fiction game, because I really liked It Takes Two. Have any of you picked it up yet? I’m also in a cozy game … Continue reading Links: Faerie Smut, Cats, & More→
If you’re looking for a book of sparkle and light, then this is not the book for you. It’s heavy going emotionally, but so well-written that I could not put it down. My normal routine went out the window because I NEEDED to know how things would unfold. The cast of supporting characters are sincerely charming and I do look forward to the next book in the series.

My husband, Rich, is rightfully annoyed with me. He just got done watching the opening of Daredevil: Born Again, which is this insane one-cut fight scene and I had to tell him we were switching over to The Bachelor. I am a cruel woman indeed. Also, Muzzy says “How YOU doin’?” We start in Newton, MA with a ubiquitous Dropkick Murphys song playing over some arial shots. Juliana is waiting for him and tells him … Continue reading Elyse Watches The Bachelor–S29 E6: It’s Woosta→
Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy is $2.99! This one is a slightly cozy, queer fantasy with rivals who are now magically connected after a curse goes wrong. Last time this was on sale, the comments mention it’s a slow burn and the first book does not have an HEA in it.
This HaBO is from Kimberly, who wants to find this paranormal romance: The book was a romance where the heroine was blind and the hero was a werewolf. The meet cute involved a car crash or an almost car crash. I think maybe she had a service dog and he saved her or saved the service dog. I think she was also a teacher. There was definitely a subplot involving a troubled male student that … Continue reading HaBO: Mating Bond Lets Her Sense Auras→
Happy Tuesday! It’s a short and sweet release week for us, with a clear standout of which book we’re most anticipating. There are two contemporaries (one with a dash of mystery), a shifter romance, and a fantasy friends to lovers. What are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
The Soldier’s Scoundrel by Cat Sebastian is $1.99! This is a gay historical romance with class differences, which readers seemed to really love in terms of the pairing. However, other reader mention having some problems with the book’s pacing.
Welcome back to Cover Snark! Sarah: This is both neat and also awkwardly posed? Kiki: I love the idea of this cover, but it is just so obvious that these two people are not organically in the same photo They’re looking beyond each other? Sarah: They’re touching but don’t seem to be connected. Tara: It’s giving more “Okay, okay. Don’t look, but did you see that person? I said don’t look! Her dress is TERRIBLE.” … Continue reading Cover Snark: Oh Hey, Katy Perry!→
