Important note 1: We’ve been collecting resources and have tried to verify as many as we can when possible. If you know of a donation option that isn’t listed here, please do add it in the comments. RECOMMENDED: Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher is $2.99! AJ loved this one and gave it an A:
All of that is to say: if you stare at walls a lot right now and you can’t really read because everything is just too much all the time? You’re not alone. I get you. And if you want to try a book that gets it too, and will remind you that there can be light at the end of this god-awful tunnel, maybe try this one.

Redwood and Wildfire is a slow book, and one steeped in trauma. The book depicts a lot of violence, including abuse of animals, a lynching, and a graphic rape scene, and although there is a love story in it, this is historical fiction/historical fantasy. If the reader approaches the book knowing what to expect, they will be rewarded by lush prose and a detailed view of America during the Great Migration in both the rural … Continue reading Redwood and Wildfire by Andrea Hairston →

Good morning! It’s a slow content day, so that means Wednesday Links is up first thing! This evening, I will be off to Germany, after having weeks of anxiety about traveling. Thank goodness I also had therapy yesterday to get all my thoughts and feelings out. I have an overnight flight with a stopover in Iceland. I’m very excited to be reunited with my brother, who I haven’t seen in at least 3 years. Also, … Continue reading Links: Crochet, Farah Heron, & More →

This HaBO is from Frances, who is looking for this paranormal romance: I’ve been wondering if this is even worth it, but I can’t stop thinking about this series, so it’s worth a shot. I’m looking for a series that I started reading and didn’t finish. I can’t remember if I stopped because the next book wasn’t yet written or if it was because I had to pay for the next book and needed to … Continue reading HaBO: Yank and Jules →

Hey all! It’s time for some Cover Snark! From Sarah: Neither road rash nor fatal head injuries are sexy. Sarah: They need helmets and I need to know how big the bike is if the bear can ride, too. Tara: I think this one might be so bonkers that I actually love it. Sarah: Where does one get a bear-sized helmet? Amanda: Okay but which one is actually the daddy biker bear? From Carole: Is … Continue reading Cover Snark: A Plan B for Pirates →
