RECOMMENDED: Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor is 99c! Redheadedgirl read this one and gave it a B:
If you’re a fan of Connie Willis, I would suggest you give this series a try. It doesn’t take itself quite so seriously, and Max as a heroine and audience surrogate is a lot of fun. It’s potentially a commitment, given that there are 9 books and a bunch of novellas, but I’m looking forward to making a dent in my TBR pile to read the next book.

Crystal Anne With An E comes to us from a sunny clime, though she is an indoor cat that prefers to remain pale. She is an autism consultant by day, and recently completed a degree in information science, mostly because she could and it was fun. She likes to read (obviously), watch TV while cross-stitching something geeky, play video games, beg her plants not to die in the hell heat of summer, and walk while … Continue reading In Every Generation by Kendare Blake →
Hello, everyone! It’s time for Wednesday links! This is where we share cool stuff from around the internet. We’re almost done with June and that means entering into the warmer months in New England (my least favorite). It’s mainly because a lot of old New England apartments don’t have any sort of central A/C and we have to rely on fans or window units, which just aren’t the same. I am not a person who … Continue reading Links: Podcasts, Raccoons, & More →

Hit Me With Your Best Scot by Suzanne Enoch is $2.49 at Amazon and $2.99 elsewhere! This is the third book in the Wild Wicked Highlanders series. I think these historical covers are pretty dreamy, but I’ve never read a single book by this author. Have you? Thoughts?

The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri is $2.99! This is Suri’s latest series and many of us were big fans of her debut fantasy romance Empire of Sand. I’m hoping this has the same balance of fantasy and romance.

Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

This HaBO comes from Elizabeth, who wants to find this older romance title: This contemporary romance book starts with a seamstress working on a bride’s trousseau with the bride, and the bride expressed doubts about her upcoming marriage. The seamstress basically tells her it’s not too late to back out, then the bride leaves. The next day, a furious man storms into her shop and says the bride has jilted him and that the seamstress … Continue reading HaBO: Seamstress Stands In for Bride →
I have a weakness for both Scottish and Caribbean characters, so when I saw that A Caribbean Heiress in Paris paired a business savvy Dominican heroine with a progressive Scottish earl, I knew I wanted to try it. And since Claudia loves historical romances, I begged her to read it with me. (Claudia here: Shana had me at hello!) Luz arrives at the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris on a mission. She’s the recently orphaned … Continue reading A Caribbean Heiress in Paris by Adriana Herrera →
