TW: OMG you guys, SO MANY. That Time I Got Drunk And Saved a Demon is a mood, people. This book is impossible for me to grade – either you are down for it or you aren’t. But personally, I rather enjoyed this bonkers story about a woman whose family owns and operates a cinnamon farm, the demon she rescues, and the false goddess they team up to take down. You should be able to … Continue reading That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming→
Hey all! It’s Wednesday! Come on in! I went to the Cape with my partner last weekend and just had the loveliest time. I met their aunt, ate some good food, and got some sun on these gams. The weather was perfect and we got to hang out with an old black lab named Jack. I’ve also undertaken a recent project. I’m growing herbs! I planted the seeds into little pots yesterday and have them … Continue reading Links: Anthologies, Fabio, & More→

I cannot emphasize enough how hungry this book will make you.
Accidentally Engaged might be my top pick for “don’t read while hungry.” Between our heroine Reena’s bread baking (there’s rye, there’s challah, there’s an ongoing battle with a sourdough starter) and her Indian and East African cooking, I was craving a feast pretty much the whole time I was reading this book.
This HaBO comes from AW, who wants to find this romance they read a couple months ago: The male main character is running for office (I think senate) and he wants the endorsement of the female main character who runs a community center type place. His opponent in the election has already tried to get the female main character’s endorsement and failed. I remember the male main character not being completely honest about him wanting … Continue reading HaBO: Hero Wants Heroine’s Campaign Endorsement→
This post is sponsored by W by Wattpad. Find Perfect Addiction by Claudia Tan wherever books are sold! I’m a romance reader who prefers things a little on the spicy side whether it’s the bickering and banter of an enemies to lovers romance or some adventures in the bedroom. Here are five steamy and sexy contemporary romances to set the mood this summer. Which hot summer romances are on your reading list?
Overall, this book had many strong elements, with a few minor missteps. I think you pretty much get what you expect in terms of a relatively light, atmospheric, sexy sapphic romance perfect for spooky season. If there are additional series entries, I will absolutely be reading them.
I really enjoyed Laziness Does Not Exist as a “grind/productivity culture is a big pile of garbage” manifesto, and I also really like Dr. Price’s writing. I didn’t think I was the audience for this book, which is about the masking Autistic people do to conform with neurotypical expectations, and is written by an Autistic person for fellow Autistic people. Whoodamn, I was wrong about that. This is a thoughtful, compelling, and detailed look at … Continue reading Unmasking Autism: The Power of Embracing Our Hidden Neurodiversity by Devon Price→
