I cannot remember the last time I wanted to both savor and devour a book, and Bouchet’s writing is so engaging and magical that I wish she had some sort of backlist I could dive into for the next few months.

Shana and Maya join me to talk about the books that absolutely rocked their world this year, and because Shana was reading Seressia Glass’ The Love Con, we take a nice detour into “what we would do if we were in charge of reality television shows.” From GBBO to Project Runway, we have some thoughts! Where I live the holiday season is cold, and it gets dark very, very early. It’s during this time of year that I like to tuck in with my coziest blanket and focus on creative rest. I do most of my crafting over the winter months. This giveaway features items to help you pass those (possibly) long, dark hours as well. First up is this cat embroidery kit by Hawthorn Handmade. If you’ve never done … Continue reading Hanukkah 2022 Night 6: Knitting! →

Desiring Lady Caro by Ella Quinn is $1.99! This is a historical romance with a Venetian setting. Reviews on Goodreads say this is a pretty fast-paced romance and that there’s a road trip element! Though trigger warning because it seems part of the heroine’s backstory includes rape.

Heiress for Hire by Madeline Hunter is 99c! This is the first book in a new series for Hunter and Catherine gave it a B-. She felt the mystery element didn’t have the same satisfying resolution as the romance. I liked this one a little better (maybe a B or B+).
