The Good Neighbor by Maxwell King is $1.99! This is a biography of the late and great Mr. Rogers! Admittedly, I’m not a big nonfiction reader, but this sounds all sort of sweet and wholesome. I’ve yet to hear a bad word about Mr. Rogers.
RECOMMENDED: Grumpy Jake by Melissa Blue is 99c! This is a contemporary romance novella and Maya gave it an A-:
Grumpy Jake is a bite-sized delight that was joy to tear through in a sitting. It was low-drama, while also being compelling, empathetic, and kind. It’s a great example of how well a novella can work as it expertly delivers you to a HEA just brimming with possibility and I look forward to seeing what Melissa Blue writes next!
RECOMMENDED: The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang is $1.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal. I’m jealous of those who get to read this for the first time. We had a wonderful guest squee of this and it was my favorite read of 2018:
I truly loved this book. Loved. It made me feel like a champagne bubble – all fizzy and light. When I think of all the magical feelings romance gives its readers, I will forever think of this book.
An Heiress to Remember by Maya Rodale is $3.99! Elyse read this one and gave it a B:
So while it took me awhile to get into An Heiress to Remember, once the hero stopped being a door knob and got over himself, I found the romance compelling. Added to that great details about 19th century department stores as a feminist innovation and some solid femaile friendships, and I had a ton of fun.

Hottie Lumberjack by Tawna Fenske is $3.99! I added this one to my TBR pile after reading this comment from Jenny on Whatcha Reading. Jenny says the covers in this series aren’t great, but she really enjoyed this one. In my romance book club, another member recommended the second book in this series, Chef Sugarlips, so I may have to bump these books up on my list.

Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey is the first book in a new contemporary romance series about the inhabitants of Port Jefferson, Long Island. RECOMMENDED: The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price matched. Elyse loved this book and gave it an A:
The Fifth Season is also a relatively quick read. It opens with a cataclysmic disaster and doesn’t slow down its pace. Its characters travel widely. My only word of warning is that the book ends on a massive cliffhanger. Fortunately the sequel, The Obelisk Gate, will be released in August. After finishing this book I’m making desperate grabby hands for the next one.
If you like immersive, action-driven fantasy and if you want a fantasy world that’s not Euro-centric–or if you just love a really, really good story–I cannot recommend The Fifth Season enough.
The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang is $2.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal, which also includes some romance. For some reason, this book isn’t available in the U.S. through Kobo. I will warn that this fantasy novel gets very graphic at some points. If you can handle that, I highly recommend picking this one up. It’s a fantastic debut.
