Elyse Watches The Bachelorette–S20 E9: A Farewell

Elyse Watches The Bachelorette with Kraken Rum and Coke with a big rose at the bottom

Before we begin the recap, some sad news. It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that last week Lady Pudding, Duchess of Smackington, painlessly departed for a better place. I like to think of her in the south of France, with a scandalously younger gentleman. Pudding was almost 18, had the softest forehead for kissing, and my whole body hurts with missing her. She taught me to love fiercely, maintain my boundaries, … Continue reading Elyse Watches The Bachelorette–S20 E9: A Farewell

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder has more violence in it than I usually like now, some asshole behavior from the male lead, and less focus on the romance, but I adore this book. And … Continue reading Whatcha Reading? August 2023, Part Two

Books on Sale: Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese & More

Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese is $2.99! Carrie reviewed this one and gave it a B-:

Two Wrongs Make a Right is inspired, very loosely, by Much Ado About Nothing. It lacks most of the conflict of the play, but has its own charm. What you really need to know is that this is a cute book with neurodivergent characters and a fake-dating romance that is endearing if not fully believable.

Stash Busting with Lady Pudding

I achieved SABLE (stash acquisition beyond life expectancy) a long time ago. Some people can only buy yarn when they know the specific project they’ll use it for. Not me, I buy yarn when I see it and it’s pretty and squishy, and then I figure out what I’m going to do with it later. Since I knit a lot of socks and shawls, most of my stash is in fingering or sock yarn weight. … Continue reading Stash Busting with Lady Pudding
