Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.

Welcome back to Wednesday Links! How are we all doing? I can start to feel fall in the air and I’m so ready. Also, I’m eager for this jam-packed month to be over. Before my partner and I go grocery shopping, we pick the 3-4 meals we plan to cook in the next couple weeks. I found a harissa-spiced cauliflower soup recipe in the Cookish cookbook and I’m looking forward to that the most. I love … Continue reading Links: A GoFundMe, Sapphic Reading Recs, & More

Books on Sale: Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews & More

Blood Heir by Ilona Andrews is $1.49! This is a spin-off of Andrews’ Kate Daniels series with the main character being Kate and Curran’s ward. Obviously this will be a more nuanced read if you’ve finished or are familiar with the prior series. I dropped off that train around book three.

Book Review

Black Sheep by Rachel Harrison

Black Sheep

I’m generally a fan of Rachel Harrison’s horror novels. They tend to offer up commentary on things like toxic friendships, trauma, and complicated family dynamics in this darkly comedic, hyperbolic package. The heroine is in the modern day and travels to Scotland to a castle, which has a portrait of an unknown woman. She somehow travels back in time, where she’s discovered by the hero who thinks she’s a spy (?). He … Continue reading HaBO: Time-Traveling Heroine Believed to be a Spy

A Nobleman’s Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel by KJ Charles

A Nobleman’s Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel

Let’s start with the fact that I adore KJ Charles’ books. All of them. So I was well-positioned to love this one, especially as I had adored the first book in this series, which Carrie reviewed. Book two didn’t quite have the complexity of that first book, but I still loved this story and devoured it quickly. Rufus, a major in the army, has found out that he is in fact an earl, specifically the … Continue reading A Nobleman’s Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel by KJ Charles
