RECOMMENDED: The Duke Who Didn’t by Courtney Milan is 99c! Apologies if this one is a leftover sale from the weekend. Catherine gave this a squee grade:
The Duke Who Didn’t was always going to be a book that made me happy. Humour, food, and a gentle hero who just wants the heroine to be less stressed are a pretty good formula for getting onto my keeper shelf.

This HaBO comes from Emily, who wants to find this book: I’m looking for a book that I think was a HABO – maybe five years ago? Not recently, and it might have only been something discussed in the comments of a post, because I have searching all the keywords I remember on the site and haven’t found it. What I remember is that it was a category romance from the 80s or 90s and … Continue reading HaBO: HaBO from a HaBO →

It’s December! We’re getting ready for our last month of 2023 releases. December starts off strong with lots of releases this week and next. It definitely quiets after that; we only have a few selections per week after that. How do your releases this month look? Sparse? Heavy on one week? Let us know!

Husband Material by Alexis Hall is $1.99! This is the follow-up to Boyfriend Material. I definitely think you need to be a fan of the first book to really enjoy this one. Personally, I didn’t think it needed a sequel and was meh on it.

Second Chances in New Port Stephen is a delightful second-chance romance between two men in their forties who reconnect over the Christmas holidays. It’s not overly cutesy, and although a lot of the plot involves my least favorite trope (Poor Communication) and one of the characters is a little too self-centered for my tastes, I really enjoyed this book. Eli and Nick grew up in Florida together and dated in high school, long before Eli … Continue reading Second Chances in New Port Stephen by TJ Alexander →

At this point we’ve reviewed so many Courtney Milan books on this site that the reviews are kind of a foregone conclusion – you know the book is going to get a good grade, the question is just – how good? My answer for The Marquis Who Mustn’t is: Very Good, especially if you are in the mood for pure heartwarming material. Evil is vanquished. Wrongs are righted. Apologies are made. And of course, love … Continue reading The Marquis Who Musn’t by Courtney Milan →

Sweeten the Deal is a contemporary romance that flips the usual financial conventions around. In this book the heroine is a decade younger than the hero, but she’s also a millionaire who hires him to be her companion. Typically the person with the financial power in contemporary romances is the hero and the older character, not vice versa. I picked up the book because I was intrigued by that premise, but what I found I … Continue reading Sweeten the Deal by Katie Shepard →
