Book Review

Cleat Cute by Meryl Wilsner

Cleat Cute

I had a crappy, stressful week and I was tired and I don’t care about soccer AND YET I found Cleat Cute to be delightful. Honestly if this book worked for me on this particular week it ought to work for anybody. This Grumpy/Sunshine f/f romance has clear traces to Ted Lasso but not so many as to feel derivative. It’s just a really nice story about two decent human beings falling in love. Grace … Continue reading Cleat Cute by Meryl Wilsner

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.

Welcome back, everyone! It’s our first links of 2024! How are we all feeling? For New Year’s Eve, my partner and I attend a prix fixe, 5-course dinner at around 5:30 and then chilled out and played video games until right before midnight. Books on Sale: Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor & More

RECOMMENDEDJust One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor is 99c! Redheadedgirl read this one and gave it a B:

If you’re a fan of Connie Willis, I would suggest you give this series a try. It doesn’t take itself quite so seriously, and Max as a heroine and audience surrogate is a lot of fun. It’s potentially a commitment, given that there are 9 books and a bunch of novellas, but I’m looking forward to making a dent in my TBR pile to read the next book.
