Once again, I challenged our reviewers to pick their favorite (only one!) book they read this year. However, Sarah changed the rules up and said everyone’s favorite read had to be a 2023 release, but that they can have two bonus pick for books not released this year. Here are our favorites of the year! We’d also love to hear about your best read of 2023! Since Sneezy is recommending webtoons, I’ll drop them here. … Continue reading Our Favorite Reads of 2023→

A special bonus Hide Your Wallet! I met Dr. Jodi McAlister in Australia a bunch of years ago, and I knew she was writing a series inspired by The Bachelor and The Bachelorette – which, y’all, the Australian version is allegedly extremely good. Welcome back to Hide Your Wallet, where we discuss this week’s new releases! It’s a light week with only three books to mention. However, it’s an assortment with chefs, historical romance, and fantasy. Next week is also shaping up to be pretty slim pickings for us, but that just means it’s the calm before the storm on 2024 releases. What books are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
Welcome to Book Beat! Book Beat aims to highlight other books that we may hear about through friends, social media, or other sources. We could see a gorgeous ad! Or find a new-to-us author on a list of underrated romances! Think of Book Beat as Teen Beat or Tiger Beat, but for books. And no staples to open to get the fold-out poster.
Hide that wallet because we’re talking about new releases! The good news is that the rest of this month is looking pretty light. We get to take a nice little break and given our wallets and library holds a rest. All we have are contemporary romances on our list this week, but they feature gaming, scene-stealing animals, and broadway performers. What books are you excited for this week? Tell us in the comments!
It’s December! We’re getting ready for our last month of 2023 releases. December starts off strong with lots of releases this week and next. It definitely quiets after that; we only have a few selections per week after that. How do your releases this month look? Sparse? Heavy on one week? Let us know!
Winter holiday romances seem to release earlier and earlier, but December’s definitely got a few choice reads to keep you warm and toasty! And what better time of year to treat yourself?

We’re quickly cruising toward the end of 2023, where we’ll continue these weekly posts and starting working on “Best of” content. How are you all liking the weekly release posts? And which books are you hoping to snag this week?
It’s Tuesday! For us, it’s a pretty small release week in terms of books on our radar or popular titles that may already be on your agenda. We have pirates, mysteries, and a new book by Nora Roberts! Anything you’re interested in picking up this week? Are your TBR piles growing or are they holding steady? Let us know in the comments!
