Summary:

The time continuum is home to two great powers: the Timeguard and the enigmatic People of the Horizon. Anna Chronistic, time-travelling adventuress, would rather avoid both and spend her days in Second Empire Paris hanging out with courtesans and painters or in Bronze Age Anatolia attempting to romance Helen of Troy. But when both of them accuse her of stealing a priceless ruby from under the Sphinx, Anna finds herself working with Time Agent Polly Shapiro to save the past, the future and everything in between.
