Enchanted Warrior by Sharon Ashwood

Enchanted Warrior

I was excited at the thought of snagging a book for the Smart Bitches Trashy Books RITA Reader Challenge. SBTB is the first book blog I read, and a great example of what I want our blog to be when it grows up. I carefully went over the list (well, what was left of the list, it was kind of slim pickings by the time I looked) and Enchanted Warrior stood out. The King Arthur … Continue reading Enchanted Warrior by Sharon Ashwood

Enchanted Warrior by Sharon Ashwood

Enchanted Warrior

This book reads like the R-rated cousin of a BBC Merlin episode. Some cheesy writing and slightly rushed plot points: check. Knights of the Round Table making questionable decisions: check. A badass sorcerer who takes no shit and saves literally everyone, all the time: check and mate. As a huge Merlin fan, overall, I enjoyed myself. The reasons why: Tamsin Greene, healer, witch, and historian extraordinaire. Tamsin is following in her missing they-never-found-the-body dead father’s … Continue reading Enchanted Warrior by Sharon Ashwood

Possessed by a Wolf by Sharon Ashwood

Possessed by a Wolf

This was part of a double Harlequin edition and part of their Nocturne sequence. At first I thought perhaps I was in a story slump since I had some initial issues getting into the story, but on the second re-read, I found it thrilling, fun and exciting. Lexi Haven is a world renowned photographer and seems to have it all together. She is in Marcari to help her best friend who is planning the wedding of … Continue reading Possessed by a Wolf by Sharon Ashwood

Possessed by a Wolf by Sharon Ashwood

Possessed by a Wolf

First of all, I have to say that I really love the paranormal genre. Give me werebeasts, phoenixes, dragons, etc, I am ready to read. Secondly, this is the third book in a series and I found I did not need to know what had happened in the previous volumes to make sense of this story. I consider it a standalone, which is in its favor. The series is called Horsemen because it is about … Continue reading Possessed by a Wolf by Sharon Ashwood

Smart Podcast Trashy Books Romantic Times Rewind

I’m honestly not sure what having all the images from the episode in the podcast entry would do to the feeds it serves, so I’ll be doing a separate entry with all the visual aids and linking it. You can also find all the RTRW content at our category page for Romantic Times Rewind.  And, most importantly, if you want to listen and follow along with this entry, we have more detail in the audio, … Continue reading Romantic Times Rewind: May 2014 Review Images

A lot of people try to see all the Best Picture nominees before the Oscars ceremony- so let’s do that for the RITAs, shall we?
