The Kraken’s Sacrifice by Katee Robert is $2.49! This is book two in the Deal with a Demon series. This is under 200 pages and feels like a rare miss from Robert, based on the Goodreads review average.
If you enjoy sci-fi, arranged marriage/marriage of convenience stories, courtly intrigues, and/or slow-burn romance, I think Winter’s Orbit is a great choice.
By the Book by Jasmine Guillory is $3.99! This could be a leftover deal from the Kindle Daily Deals of yesterday, so apologies if this one goes rather quickly. This is a Beauty and the Beast inspired contemporary romance and we’ve had the cover on Cover Awe before.
For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten is $2.99! This is a dark romantic fantasy that was featured in Hide Your Wallet and was highly anticipated by me and Aarya. I remember starting it but finding it a little slow.
Wolf Rain by Nalini Singh is $1.99 – and this might be a Kindle Daily Deal so go, go, go! I did an epic read-through of the Psy-Changeling series from December 2020 through January 2021, and this was one of my favorites. There’s yearning, monumental impediments to the protagonists’ connection, badassery, and the usual, delightful emphasis on compassion and empathy, the latter much more overt. If you like this series, this is a terrific deal – and the next book is out in July!
A Taste of Heaven by Penny Watson is 99c! This cover is making me so hungry. This is a contemporary romance with an older hero and heroine (late 40s) and a food competition show. Readers loved the heroine and her relationship with the grumpy Scottish chef hero. However, some readers felt the action of the book happened a little too quickly. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
He’s Not My Boyfriend by Jackie Lau is $3.99! This book was featured on Cover Awe because seriously, how adorable is that cover. If you want a quick, rom-com read, readers recommend this one. However, others wished the conflict was a bit stronger.
Never a Bride by Megan Frampton is $1.99! This is part of the Duke’s Daughters series and features a fake engagement. Readers recommend Frampton’s writing style, but found this one to be light on historical believability. Have you read this one?
Duke of Darkness by Anabelle Bryant is 99c This is the second book in the Three Regency Rogues series and the first and third books are also on sale! This is a romance between a man and his ward, which I know is catnip for some of you. However, some readers felt the book lacked a tremendous amount of historical accuracy.
