RECOMMENDED: A Study in Scarlet Women by Sherry Thomas is $2.99! Both Sarah and Carrie read this book and enjoyed it.
Sarah gave it a B+: I haven’t shut up about this book since I finished it. My outbound text messages are mostly hollering, squeeing, and long strings of vowels about this book.
I’m so excited this book exists. I’m so excited that I got to read it. I’m so excited there will be more.
Carrie gave it B: I can’t WAIT to find out what Charlotte, Livia, and Mrs. Watson are up to. I hope it involves them being protective of each other, empowering, and smart. The excitement is palpable!

RECOMMENDED: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews is 99c at Amazon and Barnes & Noble! Burn for Me is the first book in the Hidden Legacy series, and is an urban fantasy/billionaire story with magic, suspense. We had a great guest squee on the entire series and I can definitely confirm the books are amazing!

RECOMMENDED: All In by Simona Ahrnstedt is $2.99 at Amazon, Google:Play, and iBooks! Hopefully other vendors will match the price. Redheadedgirl gave the book an A:
I felt like this was full of Shakespearean drama, and scheming families, and hot sex, and gorgeous clothes, but also some important things to say about how the world is functioning. There’s a lot going on, though, and the ending a tad rushed.

Come the Spring by Julie Garwood is $1.99! I know Garwood is an auto-buy author for many, though I’ll personally admit I haven’t read any of her American historical romances. This one features a double dose of romance as it has two heroes working together and finding love along the way. However, this is the last book of a series and some felt it lacked the usual sweet, Garwood charm. Have you read it?

RECOMMENDED: The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley is $2.51 at Amazon and Google:Play right now – which is an outstanding price. This book was a Sizzling Book Club Pick, and when it was on sale last year, I wrote, “It’s absorbing, beautiful, and made me tear up at the end. It’s amazing – buy it for yourself or for someone who likes historical romance, mystery, or really, really powerful writing.”

I always feel guilty when I can’t finish a book, but it happens. At age twenty-three, Evangeline gives up her V-card to her most recent boyfriend, Eddie. However, he only saw her as a conquest and kicked her out of bed as soon as the deed was done. Evangeline’s roommates insist she get all dolled up, go to the hottest club that Eddie is known to frequent, and show him what he gave up. She … Continue reading Mastered by Maya Banks →
Letting Go by Maya Banks is $1.99 at Google:Play, and $2.99 at Amazon and iBooks. This is book 1 of the Surrender trilogy, and is an erotic romance that combines BDSM with a trope that is a lot of people’s catnip: the hero is secretly in love with his late best friend’s widow. It has a 3.6-star average on GoodReads.

Jane asks Maya Banks about her response to reader disappointment with After the Storm. Jane talks about author responses to reader reactions Please note that after about 4:55 into the podcast, audio problems created a segment wherein it sounds like we threw Maya down a well. Which we did, of course. We tossed her down a well and gave her a microphone to finish the interview. (No, not really but it sounds that way. I'm … Continue reading 88.
