It was romantic, sweet, hot, funny, and original – everything I’m looking for in a romance. I can definitely see myself rereading this in the not-too-distant future.
Sweetest Scoundrel by Elizabeth Hoyt is $1.99! This is book nine in the Maiden Lane series, which is a favorite with many romance readers. Elyse was pretty excited about this release last November. We ran two guest reviews during out RITA® Reader Challenge (RIP). It earned a B and a C+.
TW: Sexual Harassment The Stand-In is a celebrity romance that also celebrates female friendships, openly discusses the stigma against mental illness, and allows the main character the space to explore the complexities of being bi-racial. It does all of that without feeling unbalanced or taking away from the romance that’s the center of the plot.
