On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Brenda Jackson was the keynote speaker at the RWA Librarian and Blogger Luncheon. Because the speech wasn’t live streamed, I don’t think there’s a video of it, but RWA has made the audio available via Soundcloud. Yay! Thank you! Y’all, I don’t know that I can fully explain how incredible this speech is. Brenda Jackson talks about the way her library played a meaningful role in her life, including giving … Continue reading Please Listen: Brenda Jackson’s Librarian’s Day Speech from RWA →
In May, we announced that PassionFlix was taking pre-subscriptions for their streaming service. I bit the bullet and signed up to be a Founding Member, though expressed my desire to see more diverse romance novels picked up for production. Today, PassionFlix announced that it’s snagged the first three books in the Grangers series by Brenda Jackson! All three books are about the Granger brothers and are set in Virginia. The first book is A Brother’s Honor : The … Continue reading PassionFlix to Adapt Brenda Jackson’s Grangers Series →

RECOMMENDED: Bringing Home the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon is $1.99! I bought this when it was n sale last spring and enjoyed it! This is a contemporary romance and the first in a series. The hero is a tattoo artist, single father, and a widower, and I just know that has to be someone’s catnip. The heroine also appears to be the best friend of the hero’s late wife, which I know isn’t everyone’s favorite trope. You have been forewarned. It also has a 4-star rating on GoodReads.

Shana: I have a kindle unlimited trial and I’ve been burning through KU romances. My favorite so far is the short story Fall Into You by Georgina Kiersten. The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon is $1.99! Several of you flagged this one yesterday, including Annie Kate, who said that this book “is cute and funny and emotional, and also the hero’s hobby is restoring antique cast-iron pans, so obviously $1.99 is a steal.” (This would be the type of book I’d surprise gift to several friends – which I’m going to go do right now.)
