RECOMMENDED: Love & Other Disasters by Anita Kelly is $2.99! This is book one in the Nashville Love series. Tara and Carrie did a joint review and gave it a B+:
Tara: Overall, I really enjoyed this one! Dahlia and London were such wonderful characters, and I’m a big fan of cooking shows, so I know I’ll be reading Love and Other Disasters again. I’ll just be sure to stock snacks next time, because reading about so much amazing food made me hungry.
Carrie: I was delighted with this book overall. The supporting characters were fun (or loathsome, as the plot demanded). The character development was realistic and powerful. The romance was sexy and I can totally picture Dahlia and London as an old couple on a porch somewhere — I was invested in them for the long haul. This will be one of my comfort re-reads for sure!

Welcome back to Whatcha Reading! Here’s how we’re capping off this month: Sneezy: I’ve been rereading Only Hope. It’s still ongoing, and I’m VERY much not a thriller person, but something about some Will Kill You cinnamon rolls is making my brain happy right now. Lara: I’ve been so lucky with books lately. So many good ones! At the moment, I am knee deep in And Then There Was the One by Martha Waters. It’s … Continue reading Whatcha Reading? September 2025, Part Two →

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong is $2.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! This is a YA (bordering on NA possibly?) historical fantasy with Romeo & Juliet, star crossed lovers vibes. I also loved the setting of 1920s Shanghai.

It is with a lot of listener and reader encouragement that I’m writing this out, so thank you to everyone who said, “Yes, write the thing.” You might be thinking, given that we are rather familiar with plagiarism going back to 2008 (!) with our adventures with Cassie Edwards’ books, that I would know what to do if it maybe happened to me. And, honestly, I’m used to being cited in roundabout ways. Sometimes editors … Continue reading What to Do If You Think You’ve Been Plagiarised →
