The Dog in the Alley mentioned above by @flchen1 was my gateway KM Avery book and I became a huge fan! You can start at book 4 because there are trilogies within the series, and book 4 is the start of the second trilogy,staring a foul-mouthed elf. If you like urban fantasy slow-burn mm romance you should seriously give this one a chance!

I really wnjoyed the writing in the Ex Vows, and there were a lot of parts I liked. However it has one of my pet peeves where the narrative tells you over and over again that Georgia is very type A and into lists etc, but like…she isn’t? Like she’s not even slightly competent? And some of that can be explained away by things being emotionally complicated and so on, but I found it really annoying.
Overall I enjoyed the book though!

Another YAY for THE EX-VOWS! I found the troubles Georgia and Eli ran into in NYC completely believable. Same for how they’ve been trying to handle everything since then. They are a few perhaps overly fortuitous things that help with their second-chance — but I didn’t mind a bit.

Also another vote for Jessica Joyce too. Even when some events might strain credulity a bit, the characters and conversations always feel real to me.

I really enjoyed The Ex-Vows by Jessica Joyce. I love wedding themed romances and this was a good one.

I can wholeheartedly recommend THE EX VOWS and MEET ME IN THE MARGINS. Very much enjoyed both although you do need to suspend disbelief a little for the later.

And if you find Laurenston’s honey badgers a little over the top, may I direct your attention to Stoffel, a honey badger residing at the Moholoholo Nature reserve whose long standing grudge against the resident lions has made him quite a challenge for his keepers. I think Laurenston has pretty much nailed the temperament.
