The Last True Vampire by Kate Baxter is $2.99! This is a paranormal romance that got a romantasy cover upgrade for a rerelease (which I think is an odd choice). I read this one when it was first release and it’s very much of its time in terms of pop culture references.

A Study in Scoundrels by Christy Carlyle is $1.99! I don’t like this cover; the dress color washes the model out. In this one, the heroine is a secret author and the hero is an actor. This is the second book in the Romancing the Rules series, but can be read as a standalone.

As someone who loves the Alex Stern books, I will say the CW that always seems to get left out is Sexual Assault, which is Alex reliving her first encounter with a ghost as a young teenager (iirc). So if you’re sensitive to that but do want to read the book I would recommend looking up a spoiler for when it happens, so you can skip the pages. (It’s only a little necessary to the plot itself, so as long as you know it happens you should be fine)
I didn’t like Last True Vampire very much. I don’t remember the details, but I think I found it a bit boring and full of paranormal romance cliches.
