Gosh, I love good sleep.
I also love carrying a small wallet when I’m out, because I’ve realized that so many of the items I used to carry are now digitized on my phone (even my driver’s license, can you believe that?). As long as I have zipped pockets, I’m happy.

Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree was a delightful surprise…I’d been hearing about it for awhile and when I finally jumped in it was so much fun!
Killers of a Certain Age sent me down a Deanna Raybourn rabbit hole with all of her series!
Shelly Laurenston’s Badger books. They just make me laugh, which I need.
Julie Anne Long’s Palace of Rogues books, but everything she writes sparkles!

The Little Liar by Mitch Albom. Where else will you find Truth as a character?
My first thought was Kate Goldbeck’s You, Again cuz I loved it, but it’s not precisely sparkly. So much angst! And the pining. OMG the pining. So I’m going with Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett. It’s definitely not as fluffy as it sounds, but faeries gotta sparkle, amirite? Come for the twinkles; stay for the unexpected take on grumpy sunshine.
I just finished “The Twelve Months Of Christmas “ by Sheila Roberts; and it was delightful.
The Aspect and Anchor series by Ruby Dixon. It’s addictive.
Binged my way through Ali Hazelwood’s backlist and am a big fangirl now! (Especially enjoyed Love, Theoretically and Check & Mate.) Also loved Courtney Milan’s newest release.
Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries – love it so much!
I wouldn’t call it sparkly, but I’d recommend To Shape a Dragon’s Breath: The First Book of Nampeshiweisit by Moniquill Blackgoose as a VERY good read.
The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer, was such a sweet and nostalgic read.
Oh! I loved Codename Charming by Lucy Parker.
It’s a shiny happy book, in a delightful series.
A Cosmic Kind of Love by Samantha Young was the book that made me feel sparkly wonderful this year. I’ve been mixing in a lot of non-fiction with my reading, a lot of it pretty depressing in different ways, so the romances I choose have some heavy lifting to balance that out and A Cosmic Kind of Love did that for me.
Fourth Wing made me sparkly feeling getting to enjoy reading a new world building. Was fun
Didn’t read much this year, but went through some of Joanna Shupe’s backlist.
Codename Charming by Lucy Parker and Role Playing by Cathy Yardley
Reading the whole Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews. Some of them even have sparkly titles (Diamond, Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby)!
Currently reading a couple of Maisey Yates’ cowboy series, Four Corners and Copper Ridge series, and loving them. Hadn’t realized I was into cowboy.
I’m loving Celia Lake’s new Mysterious Arts series, Bound for Perdition and Shoemaker’s Wife. Came for the romance, stayed for the historical details and lovely writing!
I finished Fourth Wing yesterday and loved it. I was totally afraid it wouldn’t live up to the hype but it was exactly what I wanted.

I was surprised to love Killers of a certain age (which was absolutely fantastic) and Iron widow. Hoping for a longer list next year
I loved Lush Lives by J. Vanessa Lyon from Roxane Gay’s imprint. So hot and with so much heart!!!
After much cajoling from a friend, I read Red, White, and Royal Blue and loved it.
I really got into cozy fantasies this year. Bookshops and Bonedust, Redwall, Can’t Spell Treason Without Tea.
These are just some of the books that made me happy this year.
