I bought two of these: MILK STREET COOKISH and HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER. Any cookbook that goes on sale from America’s Test Kitchen/Cook’s Country/Milk Street is a grab for me—the recipes are always reliable and laid out in an organized, easy-to-follow fashion (even if being in the kitchen, surrounded by ingredients, while trying to follow a recipe on my Kindle is not always ideal). And I’d been waiting for a price drop on HOOK, LINE, AND SINKER for a while—as much as I enjoyed Bailey’s IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER, $10.99 for the second book in the series was too rich for my blood—even if that Oxford comma after the word LINE makes my old English major’s/copy-editor’s/proofreader’s heart so happy!
