HaBO: She Confronts Him About Cheating During a Business Meeting

This HaBO request is from K, who is looking for this romance:

Long time lurker here—

I’m looking for a contemporary story about a marriage imploding. The only thing I can remember is that the wife discovers her husband’s infidelity, packs his clothes, takes them to his office where she proceeds to barge into a meeting, throws the clothes on the table and tell her husband’s lover (and boss) that she can have him! For some reason I seem to remember that the couple reconcile, the lover/boss leaves the company (maybe the husband too?)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for your help.

Let’s HaBO!

I’ve just read a UK-set book that has a couple reconciling after the husband’s infidelity, although I don’t think it’s the right one as I can’t find a boardroom scene in it. It’s called One Night With Her Ex, by Lucy King, in case someone likes this sort of thing.

Have to say, I don’t recommend it unless you need to feel really, really angry at fictional people – the cheating occurred when the h was struggling and depressed about her infertility. At the end, the H’s friend, and even the h’s SISTER are of the opinion that it was one small mistake, and the h had made loads more mistakes so it balances out. I’ve just joined a singing group and one of the pieces I’m learning is a requiem. Would gladly sing it at this guy’s funeral. *Ahem* apologies for the slight derail there.
