Welcome back to Wednesday Links! Settle in, everybody!
My partner was moving apartments this weekend and I gleefully spent most of my time providing positive reinforcement and playing Super Mario Odyssey. I’ve become obsessed with collecting moons and outfits for Mario. I’m also replaying through Portal 2 at my place and I forgot what a great game that was.
Are any of you playing some good video games?

Our reviewer Tara and author Kris Bryant host a podcast called Queerly Recommended. Recently they had lesfic author Jae on and Sarah to talk about the problem of authors being stalked and/or harassed by readers. It’s more common than I personally thought and is worth a listen!

Thank you to Sue for passing along these fundraisers on Itch.io (a site for indie games). The fundraisers have a week or so left and there are some great games to be had for a $10 donation:
Worthy of Better, Stronger Together for Reproductive Rights
Indie Bundle for Abortion Funds

Another thank you to Bransler for sending this link over of librarians having fun with romance covers and Snapchat filters!

“First Kill” by V.E. Schwab was a story in the Vampires Never Get Old Anthology. Now it’s been made into a Netflix adaptation! Have any of you watched it yet?
Well Schwab wrote a piece for Esquire about her motivation behind the story and wanting to see herself in more fantasy and paranormal media.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
I’ve been playing ‘Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy’. It’s shockingly so much fun!
@Jaye: That was my first PS5 game and I thought it was very fun!
I picked up Pine in the steam sale for solo fun, and i’ve been replaying Raft with the other half and one of our friends now that the last section of story has released. We’re just up to the new island now.
I’ve also been working on ways to use up scraps from previous project on things i’ll actually use, as opposed to them just having another form that they sit around in being clutter. Fabric bookmarks were one of the latest projects! (didn’t use any specific pattern or method but there’s a million potential ways out there on the internet to choose from)
I’m on a second playthough of Doki Doki Literature Club and… wow. All the content warnings.
I finally broke down and got Dragon Age Origins because it was on sale on Steam and I’ve started playing that. It’s being a lot of fun so far!
I realize you have no control over some of the random ads seen by me on this page, but the congressman I see smack dab in the middle is the antithesis of the links on this page.
@Denise: UGH again? I’m so sorry. I’ve asked all political ads to be blocked and I think the changes are still taking effect. Thanks for the heads up.
Is anyone else having problems with their Library Extension on Chrome? Mine has completely stopped functioning. tia
