HaBO: Artist Uses Coveted Paper Scrap in Her Latest Project

This HaBO is from Mathilde and is hoping to track down this older title:

I hope you can help me with finding a story I read 15 years ago, in a Danish print. It came in a magazine layout, so it was probably printed in the late 80s/90s.

It is about a young female artist that works as a cleaner in a New York office. She finds a scrap of paper while she cleans up and uses it for her art that will be exhibited as her graduation piece. What she does not know is that this piece holds a phone number that our Greek male hero needs. It is the number to his long lost love back in Greece, that he was forced to leave many years ago, because her father did not approve. For his troubles, he now carries a scar on his face because I believe she chased him off with a knife.

The hero finds our young artist and demands the scrap of paper back, but it is not usable anymore.

He then takes her to Greece, to pose as his wife, as he finds his old love, and in the mean time we learn that the heroine’s estranged father is also an artist and he has painted a picture of Andromeda, as Perseus comes to save her. Coincidentally, our hero has the very same picture and Andromeda looks exactly like our young heroine, because her father actually painted her mother as the inspiration for the Greek myth. That is how the hero basically fell in love with her beauty many years before.
