Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Road Trip Historical with Dog Rescue

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO is from Kristin, who is hoping to find this historical romance:

This book was a historical romance/romantic comedy.

The hero helps the heroine escape from her own wedding. At the beginning he is running after her in a field or a garden; I think maybe he wants to bring her back to the wedding but she convinces him otherwise. They go on a journey by carriage and boat, etc. At one point they get very wet and go to a hotel to dry off. The hero hires a fancy seamstress to make new clothes for the girl. They also rescue a dog who was being mistreated by its owner. I think they end up staying at the hero’s aunt’s house toward the end while trying to figure out what to do.

The book had a Julia Quinn feel but I looked at her website and it didn’t seem to match up.

Can we HaBO?
