HaBO: Vampire Owns Special Horses

This HaBO is from Gloriamarie, who wants to find this paranormal romance:

He is a vampire, she is an actress. I forget if this is set in San Francisco, LA, or NYC. It is a contemporary and I read it on my Kindle but it is hopeless to wade through my Kindle content to find it.

He attends the play she has the lead in, I believe. Somehow they meet, fall in love. He has specially trained horses who are not terrified of him as horses so naturally are of vampires and they go for these nighttime rides after she is done with the theatre through the evening.

I forget how they work things out, what with his need to sleep during the day and hers at night, plus she had to rehearse or perform in matinees.

I also forget how they work out that pesky mortality vs immortality issue.

If in LA, they could ride through that Tujunga Canyon. If NYC, there are trails in Westchester, etc and other places an easy commute. If in SF, I have no idea where they might ride.

Sound familiar?

Strawberry, by Lena Fox? she is an actress, he is a vampire, no clue about the horses.

  2. Louise says:

Tangentially: “He is a vampire, she is an actress” makes me think of I forget which film critic’s satirical query about gunslinging in the Old West: How does it pay?

  3. Gloriamarie Amalfitano says:

@Carol S. Evidently not Strawberry by Lena Fox as that is not in my Kindle content. The horses were an important aspect, as I recall.

  4. hng23 says:

@Louise: Ha! It made me think of that old meme: He’s a vampire, she’s an actress. Together, they fight crime!

  5. Gloriamarie Amalfitano says:

@hng23: I would love to see that old meme.

  6. Ken Houghton says:

That was the plot of the Librarian movie with Stana Katic, wasn’t it? Just with the genders reversed?

  7. Gloriamarie Amalfitano says:

@Ken Houghton, I saw that movie. No horses involved.

  8. hng23 says:

@Gloriamarie Amalfitan: It’s on TV Tropes, check it out: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheyFightCrime
