Links: Family Drama, Pet Drama, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links! Guess what tomorrow is?!

Be sure to check back tomorrow for some wonderful April Fools shenanigans.

It’s chilly and windy here in New England and I’m just waiting for allergy season to descent upon me with a vengeance. Hope you all are hanging in there !

Sarah knows I love some ridiculous petty drama and I was completely tickled by this reddit thread about the drama happening between people’s pets.

At SBTB HQ, we’re all going wild for this Dumplings of the World graphic. It’s also being made into a print and I think it would look great in kitchens.

Also we tagged ourselves:

I’m the Knish.
Claudia is the Pasteis.
Lara is the Souskluitjies.
Sarah is the Pierogi.

What are you?

Apparently the U.S. Covid swab supply is controlled by two cousins in Maine who absolutely hate each other.

Look at these cute pastel Bridgerton themed sweatshirts! Perfect for spring!

Enjoy some 4-year old hockey practice thoughts:

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

I can imagine the pet drama thread could be a rabbit hole (pun intended) but the recommended thread below it made me LOL:

“How the F do you make friends as an adult if you don’t drink?”

    Also: ravioli.

Can I be Mason and learn how to skate like a hockey player? Please? I just need to be closer to the ice, like he is, so I don’t fall so far. Like herding cats, but the cats are wearing skates. Brilliant.

Me: Um, Thursday? Is this a trick question? I know time has lost all meaning, but you did *just* say it’s Wednesday…

    Ooohhhhh, right!

Dumpling names are always such great words. I clearly have not sampled enough of the world’s wide variety of dumplings, but I myself am a pierogi.

That story about the Covid swabs was quite the ride. I had no idea the supply has essentially come from one supplier.

FL opens up vaccine eligibility for everyone over age 18 on Monday, so I’m just waiting patiently the finally get the jab 🙂

  5. Annie Kate says:

I am a ravioli, which, the immense quantity I consumed as a kid probably led to my love of dumplings in the first place. I will eat any dumpling. Everything is better wrapped in dough.

Is anyone else imagining little hockey baby as little Shane Hollander?!Especially when he’s looking for his friend Hayden. Yes this is once again a Heated Rivalry reference, I’m not ashamed to admit it

  7. Tam says:

British here, and I will have my dumplings in beef stew, please (although I notice that dumplings did not make the map of dumplings which is baffling.)

  8. Tam says:

Also, am I the only one disappointed by the Bridgerton sweaters? Why not a few bees or blossoms, scattered up the arm of a sweater? Wisteria curling down the back? They got the color palette right, but you’d think they’d be more interesting.

  9. Margaret says:

OMG, THANK YOU!!! That hockey video made me laugh more than I’ve laughed in months. I want to watch it over and over and then throw myself down on the floor for a nap. Thank you!

  10. Karin says:

Not that a have a dumpling obsession or anything, but within one minute I thought of 2 dumplings that were missing from that map; both of which I have made at home.

  11. Karin says:

Make that 3, I just thought of another one.

  12. Escapeologist says:

This music video fills me with nerdy joy. Also, Eurovision is baaack!
