Links: Animal Interviews, Romance Merch, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses. It’s March! In New England, it’s been very cold and very windy. Not a fan. However, I’m also not the biggest fan of spring given my terribly allergies.

But after March comes April, and you know what that means. The SBTB April Fool’s Day surprise!

We’re working on something great. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do!

I am obsessed with this “fairy tale” village in the Bay Area. Does anyone want to pool funds, buy the whole village, and make it a romance readers resort? All buildings stay the same, but just lots of books everywhere.

This romance merch from Fugly Barbie was going around on Twitter and it’s been so hard not to buy the entire collection. I think I might grab the sweatshirt and wear it to work at the bookstore.

TOMORROW! Join me as I introduce these three lovely authors to celebrate Farah Heron’s release of Accidentally Engaged. The event is FREE and attendees will receive a collection of recipes from the authors. Register here!

Alisha Rai always kills it when it comes to her writing (in and outside of romance novels). She’s back in Oprah Mag to talk about what it’s like being a “terminally single” romance author.

I will honestly watch any video that uses these tiny microphones, especially when animals are involved.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Ah Berkeley. It does have its fairy tale elements. And sorry to be a downer, but you are going to need to win the lottery to get in that neighborhood! $3,200/mo 1bd 1ba 800 sqft

For those who don’t mind stirring stuff for over an hour, this is a foolproof, delicious recipe for something that’s almost exactly like coconut candy from my childhood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2wjy-NBcQw&t=6s

I stirred one-handedly while reading a book, so it’s a good chance to catch up on books/podcasts/TV while ending up with something even better than caramel at the end 🙂 (I also added cardamom powder to his recipe.)
