Howdy! I need to test something on the back end (insert joke here) (insert “insert” joke here) and would like to ask a favor.
Could you please leave a comment below?
Tell me what you’re looking forward to today, or what’s making you feel good?
I’ll go first: I’m planning to go to the bakery tomorrow and get pain au chocolat for everyone for breakfast. (Don’t tell!) I’m really looking forward to tomorrow’s coffee!
Thanks in advance for helping me test some settings behind the scenes!

@Frasc:
Your friend might be eligible for the National Library Service then. It’s not only for blind people or those with low-vision. https://www.loc.gov/nls/
If she is not located in the US, I’d see if the country she does live in has a similar service.
I’ve been buying so many ebooks in the past week or so, and having so many things to read makes me happy. Covid case numbers have been dropping locally, so that’s good news too. And I’m putting together a baby gift for my writing buddy who is expecting her first child on my first child’s 21st birthday. Good things abound!
Having a day off! (I work in a hospital as a research nurse)
Today I’m having lunch with my daughter and my brother, sushi!!
I’m having a rough day today, but I’m looking forward to starting a new Thai BL series tomorrow. It’s about a man who gets a heart transplant from a woman and goes to teach in the village she was working in before her death, where he apparently falls for her former boyfriend. It’s called Tale of 1000 Stars and I’m ready for angst.
It’s almost the end of my day, I’m ready to make a cup of sleepy tea and go to bed with my kindle. It’s been a long week and I’m counting down to the weekend now.
I’m baking bread and my department just asked if they could nominate me for an award!
Ooo testing things.
Hmmmm I’m looking forward to staying up late with friends whilst playing rocket league tomorrow. (Which is what we do nearly every night because pandemic). Everyone who is having cookies tomorrow, I’m jelly. Maybe I should make some.
I love pain au chocolate! And the best one comes from a small Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa. What’s amazing is there doesn’t appear to be enough chocolate visually but it always tastes of just the right amount. Of course, their apricot and almond and guava croissants are pretty spectacular, too. Now I want one (or two or three or …)!
I am vacuuming my smoke detectors, since they went off yesterday morning to herald my birthday. beyond that, lots of mini cupcakes, but no candles –see: smoke detectors which are jerkfaces…
Well it’s no longer morning but I am looking forward to kicking back and also working from home tomorrow.
Coming at this a bit late, so I am hoping it’s still helpful…
One thing that has been making me feel good, both physically and mentally, is doing yoga daily. It’s nothing too intense – it’s the Yoga with Adriene 30 Days of Yoga series – but it’s done wonders for me during the past few months. It helps that my best friend and I are accountability buddies for it, and we even do the day’s practice together over FaceTime most days. It’s been lovely.
My guinea pigs would like to say hello to everyone and note that I have not yet given them lettuce today, and they are looking forward to some lettuce please, preferably soon.
New roommate plans to move in tomorrow. Looking forward to not having to pay the rent on a two bedroom apartment alone, and having some company.
Looking forward to being done work for the day and cozying up with a good book!
I have a book to pick up at the library tomorrow
I’m looking forward to dinner!
Do you still need comments? Just in case, here’s mine: today was my day off and I was really looking forward to :
A) cloth folding while watching TV (and I did! 3 hours worth… with 5 persons in the house, laundry is never ending) (I watched Bridgerton ^^ Simon and Daphne just got married)
B) sewing. I chose to hand sew. I find it much more satisfying than machine sewing.
Right now, I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep!
Hanging out on the couch with a good story and a cat or two!
I feel like we’ve won the lottery because I was able to get my mom an appointment for the vaccine today.
Hahaha! (I finally took in the back end –> insert joke 😉 )
It’s my first full week back at school with the students, I’m looking forward to the weekend!!
So many happy comments! I loved reading them. I had hot chocolate for breakfast and now I am going to make myself another cup now that dinner’s done and the dishes are washed! Be well everyone!
The sun shone for a while today, and the sky was marginally brighter when I got up.
It’s been a rough couple of days. (From an emotional, health, and insomnia standpoint.)
I’m looking forward to being kind to myself by getting caught up on reading/book podcasts, and maybe a movie or two this weekend. (And sleep would be nice.)
I got a full request from a really, really good agent, and I am still humming over it.
Coffee and molasses donuts for me.
I applied for a fellowship and used one of my Smart Bitches, Trashy Books reviews as an example of my writing!
found the unopened peppermint bark, hiding in plain sight.
Ah, love seeing everyone’s great news and good things! Looking forward to some sunshine tomorrow after some much needed rain this week!
Hello I’m limbering up to write a novella for a contest starting in February!
I’m trapped in bed under a sleeping cat. Do NOT send help.
I just think this should be made a feature! What are you looking forward to this day/week/month? Maybe a monthly feature?
@Juhi I was thinking the same thing – stay tuned! 🙂
I had oatmeal with a fruit compote made with ginger beer.
@Sarah, yay!
Just an idea I had:
1. have a thread like this open to comments.
2. Have guest essays from the reader community on something they’re looking forward to
Alternate between the two every two weeks!
😛
Feel free to completely ignore this. Just had it pop up in my head so thought I’d share!
What’s making me feel good is knowing my parents got their first dose of the vaccine on Friday 🙂
